02 Apr Is There a Cure for Staggering Levels of Moral Rot in America?
Elizabeth Nickson is a powerful researcher/writer under the Substack title of Welcome to Absurdistan. (Take the time to read all or most of her posts; you will not want to believe in their truth and accuracy, but you will have a hard time identifying holes in her research…she is THAT thorough).
According to Nickson’s research, a significant portion of Arizona elected officials (and the elections by which they gained office), judges, prosecutors, juries, bureaucrats, real estate industry participants at all levels—ALL are on the take in a sophisticated system of money laundering for the cartel. It is absolutely sickening and frankly triggering. This kind of thing, at this scale, just isn’t supposed to happen in America. You won’t hear much about it in legacy media because…of course you won’t; their non-coverage is a part of the corruption.
The moral rot necessary for such criminality to thrive in a society is staggering; yet everywhere Americans look, there is more evidence moral rot, more criminality.
Consider the state of Big Pharma/Big Medical. They STILL won’t acknowledge the horrendous record of death and disabling injury that has followed the covid ‘vaccine’ debacle. They won’t be honest; they won’t do the only right thing, which is to pull the mRNA vaccines from the market until definitive scientific validation of safety and efficacy has been completed.
The overall ‘covid’ debacle involves an avalanche of official lies and manipulation and moral bankruptcy: no scientific basis for imposing social distancing and masks; closing churches but not strip clubs; orchestrated disparagement of harmless yet effective and inexpensive remedies (e.g., ivermectin); pressure tactics (including military orders) to force mass injections; obfuscation of the origin of covid…and most recently, an activist judge revoking the CDC’s new, more limited vaccination schedule for children in part based on the judge’s determination that Bobby Kennedy’s HHS board of advisers, which included Dr. Robert Malone, one of the early ‘inventors’ of mRNA, were unqualified to establish a new schedule (!!!)
Then, take a look at airport waiting times across the country as just one indicator of the effects of a government shutdown forced by Democrats because they want to defund ICE and insist on open borders despite the vehement opposition of a clear majority of the American people… and despite the too frequent recurrence of illegal immigrant murders of innocent Americans (e.g., Laken Riley, Sheridan Gorman).
Then, consider the US Senate, which so far adamantly refuses to pass the SAVE America Act, an election integrity law that is essential to preserving a functioning Republic governed by consent of the governed. The law is supported by overwhelming majorities of voters of every political affiliation—Republicans AND Democrats AND independents—which leaves the American people with no choice but to observe that the Senate’s behavior confirms that the entire American ruling class benefits from rigged elections and won’t do anything serious to prevent them.
Then, scan the forest, not the trees, of the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Iran.
In Ukraine, evidence keeps accumulating to show that massive amounts of US aid (billions?) has funded not a war but a massive money laundering operation, cycling American taxpayer dollars back to Ukraine and American politicians.
In Iran (and this is just one example of moral depravity among many), the world witnessed the massive slaughter by the tyrannical Islamic regime of at least 30,000 Iranian protesters over a period of a few weeks—including the cold-blooded execution of some who were in an Iranian hospital being treated for injuries received in the protests.
Yet the same legacy media that goes into hysterical fits over the deaths of two arguably culpable Minneapolis ICE protesters will not write or voice hardly a word in acknowledgement of the massive slaughter of 30,000+ innocents in Iran. They and their leftist followers are so invested in hating Trump and rooting for the defeat of America that they cannot even see the evil and moral depravity of what America is really fighting in Iran, much less denounce it.
And finally (for purposes of this post, anyway), consider the so far weak-kneed resistance of elected officials and many Christian pastors to the Islamization of America and Texas. Islamic ideology/theology unambiguously asserts the right and duty of its adherents to:
- murder Jews, and murder or subjugate other non-believers;
- murder those who want to step away from fealty to the ideology;
- murder children who have shamed their parents;
- beat/physically assault wives;
- compel the near-total covering of women because of a foundational belief that men are barely more than animals animated by uncontainable lust absent such covering;
- impose and enforce sharia as the replacement of the US Constitution, by force of jihad…this is per se the crime of sedition…
…yet there apparently is not enough moral clarity and moral courage among American elected officials or many American Christian pastors to stand up and definitively denounce, stop and demand the reversal of the spread of this depravity.
Taken together (and there are more examples than those described in this post), the level of moral rot across America is staggering. It signals a Fourth Turning like no other. The Bible’s concept of ‘fallen man’ seems overwhelmingly confirmed but unredeemed. It is enough to make any decent human being throw up the hands in disgust and despair. This level of moral rot can almost seem like enough to make a people give up their faith.
But it’s not enough to break Americans’ faith that moral rot can be overcome.
Politics is downstream of culture, and culture is downstream of theology. America’s founding is grounded in Christian theology, and it’s time to reawaken to that fact, embrace it and live it, and find the backbone to insist upon its preeminence and continuity in America.
America’s Christian character and culture include the inspiration that moral rot can be overcome. Consider these passages of Scripture:
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (the bondage that comes from a view of men and women as nothing more than conscience-less, lustful animals); Galatians 5:1 (KJV); and
Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if [a]he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. 3 And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.. 1 John 3: 1-3 (American Standard Version)
America’s founding marked a courageous, historic stand in favor of a more noble view of men and women as the children of the ‘Creator’, entitled to liberty and to pursue happiness, and capable of self-government…so long as they remained, in John Adams’ words, ‘moral and religious’.
So America DOES know the remedy for moral rot, and Americans are in the midst of a massive struggle to apply that remedy. That’s why so many have proclaimed that America is actually in the midst of a ‘spiritual war’.
America must and will win this war. As George Washington said of America: “Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind.”
