19 Apr On Texas, Islam and the Iran War
Texans are the opposite of ‘going wobbly’ on Islam…they are getting clearer and stronger…which will reverberate in the halls of power, everywhere
There will be no shortage of opinions on who gains or loses the most from the two-week ceasefire in the Iran War (assuming the ceasefire holds). President Trump was out of the gate quickly to cheerlead the world—e.g., ‘big money will be made’—into momentum for peace. But thousands of miles away from the Strait of Hormuz is the state of Texas, and what happens in Texas over the next two weeks (and thereafter) will likely have a material effect on what happens in the Middle East generally and Iran specifically (and probably in Europe as well).
That’s because Texans are rapidly awakening to the fact that they are facing a deliberate plan for the Islamization of Texas…which is part of a broader plan for the Islamization of America…which is part of the ultimate plan for an Islamic caliphate to rule the world. And they don’t like it one bit.
Iran has been and still is the tip of the spear for that plan of Islamization: Iran is the one Islamic-controlled nation overtly, actively and violently working toward the establishment of a global caliphate.
Broadly speaking, the western world—or more accurately, the western weather-vane political/ruling class—remains determined to look the other way rather than squarely acknowledging and facing the Islamic threat.
But in Texas, the number of Texans acutely aware of what ‘Islamization’ means, and how it is being pursued by Muslims in Texas, is growing substantially, every day. A ballot proposition to ban sharia (Islamic law) in Texas passed in a March 3rd Republican primary with a 95% majority of over 2.1 million votes cast.
This growing awareness of the threat of Islamization is stirring a sense of resolve at the Texas grassroots level to stop and reverse it, and light a fire under the elected representatives of Texas to act legislatively and with law enforcement to make it so.
Here is where what’s happening in Texas links to resolving the Iran War.
Texans, and more than a few non-Texan Americans, are fond of saying “as goes Texas, so goes America, and as goes America, so goes the world”. And now the Muslim Brotherhood, among other leaders of militant Islam, are agreeing with this saying, but with a different agenda. Which is: ‘if we can get Texas to fall to Islam, we can get America to fall, and if we can get America to fall, we can get the rest of the world to fall’.
Up to this point in the Iran War, there has been plenty of noise and even hysteria to the effect that it is the Jews’ war—i.e., the Jews/Israel drew America into this war; that the Jews/Israel are forever fighting with neighboring countries in the Middle East and therefore ‘it’s not our (America’s) war’; that the Trump administration did not think this through and is now facing another ‘forever war’, to the detriment of Americans who prefer to see their problems at home addressed before taking on any foreign wars.
While President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio occasionally refer to the Iranian regime and their ruling mullahs as ‘lunatic’ or ‘radical’ or even apocalyptic, they rarely if ever mention Islam by name. That’s understandable, given the Trump administration’s belief that they have Arab/Muslim ‘allies’ in the Middle East, who are going to be critical to making Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ effective as a platform for building long term stability in the region.
Yet…
The Texas grassroots (and many of their elected leaders) are quickly coming to the conclusion—and rightly—that sharia/Islam is incompatible with, and in fact irreconcilable with, freedom under the Constitution. ‘Irreconcilable’ means there is no way to bridge over differences, no way these two systems/societies/laws can be made to peacefully coexist. A few nice Muslim neighbors here and there don’t change the irreconcilable nature of the fundamental conflict.
And the idea of pursuing some kind of trustworthy peacemaking or compromise ‘agreement’ with Muslims is increasingly recognized by Texans as a fool’s errand because the Islamic concept of taqiyya authorizes Muslims to lie to infidels as necessary to advance toward the larger goal of Islamic conquest.
In the context of the Iran War, the Iranian mullahs (what is left of them) will agree to anything to stop the bombing and allow rebuilding and rearming to begin. But through the use of taqiyya or otherwise, they will never in fact deny or renounce their core Islamic/sharia mandate to kill all the Jews, and kill all the infidels/non-believers who won’t convert to Islam, or submit and pay tribute. Because, as Texans are learning, that’s precisely what Islam’s founder and holy book teach them it is their duty to do.
Many and maybe most observers of the Iran War would prefer not to think of it as a religious war between Judaism and Christianity on the one side, and Islam on the other. Perhaps some of these observers still want to believe George W. Bush’s post 9/11 assurance that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’. (Hard to think of a more demonstrably and dangerously false assurance ever given by a US President.) Seems so much safer/less apocalyptic if it is ‘madman Trump’ v. the crazy ‘Iranian regime’, with both in search of a ‘deal’ to preserve with what is presumed (falsely) to have been a peaceful status quo prior to the war.
But 47 years of a ‘Death to America’ governing/rallying theme, backed by proven global sponsorship by Iran of Islamic terrorism, long preceded the political ascendancy of Donald Trump. Texans are recognizing: America is the enemy of Islam because of the Christian character of the nation, and no matter which person occupies the office, the President of the United States is the leader of that enemy.
And no matter how much the legacy media would like the word ‘regime’ to be a secular, generic term, the Iranian regime is in fact the Islamic Republic of Iran, run as a Shia theocratic dictatorship determined to bring on global conflagration in order to bring back the Twelfth Imam and establish the global Islamic caliphate.
So whether anyone likes it or not, the Iran War is at its core a religious war between the biblical concept of human freedom found in Judaism and Christianity—and exemplified by America and Israel (and Texas!)—on the one side, and the fundamental barbarity and slavery of Islam—exemplified only by militant Iran (so far)—on the other. Texans, increasingly and adamantly, get this, and a patriot pushback has begun that doesn’t look like it is ever going to take a knee and surrender in any way, shape or form to the Islamization of Texas.
This level of informed, intelligent, patriotic resolve is going to reverberate across the country, and it will permeate the Beltway, including the White House. Too early to tell precisely how this permeating influence may affect negotiations with Iran. But at a minimum, a very focused, forceful and large segment of Americans in Texas and around the country will see through and reject any spin to the effect that (1) retaining the ruling theocracy in Iran is in any way a good or acceptable outcome to the war; (2) Iran under the mullahs can be expected to honor promises to stop their nuclear weapon development/acquisition efforts or missile/drone manufacturing activities; or (3) Iran under the mullahs will in any meaningful way temper their brutal, uncompromising application of sharia to the Iranian people. Any peace ‘agreement’ built around these phony premises will be seen as anything but America ‘finishing the job’, and will consign billions of dollars in warfighting expenses, not to mention the lives of many US soldiers, to the ash heap of history. This won’t fly with the MAGA base of America and Texas.
Does this mean the only real solution is ‘boots on the ground’ in Iran unless and until there is an unconditional surrender by the ruling mullahs? Hopefully not…and certainly not necessarily. Lots of things are going to happen in the next two weeks and beyond that will bear on how best to resolve this conflict. But the influence of Texas in America and the world is going to be firm on how NOT to resolve it.
