22 Apr Personally…
My Very Fine Friends,
We need a Long March Back to America.
In 1934 China’s Chairman Mao launched what came to be called the Long March, a physical escape from his Nationalist enemies, which culminated in his emergence as the leader of the CCP. That march eventuated in the deaths of millions of innocent people at the hands of Mao’s evil and murderous Cultural Revolution.
In the 1960’s a communist student named Rudi Dutschke coined the term The Long March through the Institutions, a phrase later trumpeted by Herbert Marcuse to describe the effort to surreptitiously spread Cultural Marxism and to ideologically destroy America (and western civilization) from the inside by invading, corrupting and then taking control over America’s culture, professions, society, government, and institutions. Think of this Long March through the Institutions as an intentional but hidden, silent, non-violent, full frontal ideological attack on the ideas of freedom and free markets, rights given by from God, the nuclear family unit, and much more. We are today witnessing the results of this ongoing Long March through the Institutions that Marcuse celebrated.
Leftists, whether they identify as progressives, Marxists, communists, socialists, cultural Marxists or any other flavor, have at least one trait in common: relentlessness. They NEVER give it a rest, NEVER let a crisis go to waste but instead seize on it to gain more power and take away more freedom. And they tell you they are doing all of it “for your own good,” “to help you,” and because they, the expert ruling elite class, know better than you what is good for you and your life.
America, in contrast, was founded on the idea that what is good for you and your life is not to be determined by ‘rulers of men’, but by you—through your relationship to the Creator who made all men and women equal, and through the exercise of your God-given and inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
To renew or restore America’s unique greatness, we need to commit to our present-day Long March Back to America. This means BOTH a recognition of how deeply and at what avenues and access points the Marxist movement has ideologically invaded and corrupted America, AND a commitment to passionately strive to restore the fervor for freedom and all of the values that our founders embraced, values which made America unique, strong, noble and the magnet for freedom-seekers around the globe for over a century.
There is a growing army of voices for freedom in America, an emerging movement to expose the Leftist tyranny, point out the lies they rely on, and celebrate and push for freedom. Here are a few examples.
On Thursday my husband and I attended a luncheon meeting featuring a speaker who is working on a historically authentic MLK-based curricula to counter the ugly and permanently divisive, Marxist-rooted, CRT agenda currently inflaming our public schools. This speaker is proposing an inspiring substitute for the intentional racial division CRT is inflicting on America. I’ll tell you more about this in upcoming weeks.
Raymond Ibrahim joined me on the Thursday show and shared his latest writing and wisdom about Islamic jihadists whose ideology is permanently and irreparably inconsistent with America’s founding freedom. The growing Islamic refugee population around the world and in America presents preservation of freedom issues.
Justin Haskins of The Heartland Institute spoke with us on AmericaCanWeTalk this past week and very logically laid out the arguments relating to why the Great Reset sought by Klaus Schwab and many elites in America today is not only freedom-crushing but fascist (using that word in its true meaning).
Xi Van Fleet joined me on ACWT last week, and I met with her in person this week. We spoke in great depth about what freedom in America means and how far afield from freedom the CRT agenda is. This prompted me to link our interview again this week.
I am telling you all of this to say that America is bursting at the seams with hopeful signs that despite the onslaught of leftist tyranny, freedom lovers are rising up and speaking up and moving the American political conversation in the direction of freedom.
Millions watch with dismay, and a sense of helplessness the growth and empowerment of the Marxist movement in our country, and the seeming willingness on the part of leftists to surrender American sovereignty to globalist elites, and marvel at how quickly America seems to be losing our presumption and heritage of freedom. Americans are looking for reasons for hope. I believe those reasons are all around us, but winning on these issues will require committing to a Long March Back to America.
Speak Truth About America.
Facts Matter. Truth Matters. America Matters.
I’ll talk to you next week. I can’t wait!
