Hello My Very Fine Friends,
Americans are rightfully deeply concerned about why a Chinese spy balloon circulated unthreatened in the skies over America for a week before being shot down, and why another is floating over Latin America.
This is a good moment to consider where America stands militarily in 2023, especially vis-a-vis China.
For starters, China’s official claim that these are only weather balloons that were blown off course was laughable, but also almost confrontationally mocking. Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder acknowledged in a Thursday briefing that these balloons are high-altitude surveillance balloons over the continental U.S., and over Latin America. Ryder attempted to reassure concerned Americans by reporting that the Pentagon is closely monitoring the situation. China spies, we monitor. Got it.
This episode comes on the heels of a newly released memorandum by four-star Air Force General Mike Minihan head of the Air Mobility Command (AMC), which warned his colleagues that he believes WAR with China is imminent, within the next two years, by 2025. This is a huge and deeply concerning assessment.
Representative Mike Waltz described our situation as “under assault from Chinese spying“, saying “this is a pattern of the most massive spying operation and theft of American technology in modern history.” Montana Rep Zinke called the inaction by the Biden Regime, prior to shooting it down, “an embarrassment.” Former Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller posited that China must be laughing hysterically at the United States, in great part due to our fixation in the military on diversity, equity and inclusion, at the expense of readiness and focus on the future.
This spy balloon traversed the entire continental US, including flying over Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, one of America’s large-scale nuclear missile silos. Shooting it down after its week-long spying tour didn’t retrieve the data China had already gathered and simultaneously transmitted back to the CCP as it passed over sensitive locations. China still has big benefits of this spying operation.
One last big point: Air Force Maj. David Stuckenberg, one of the nation’s leading EMP experts, wrote in a 2015 report that balloons are a primary way for enemies to deliver an EMP or other military attack. So why did we let it stay afloat over America for so long?
Two tweets by Stephen Miller, former Senior Advisor to President Trump, sum up where we were this week:
“This is one of the most humiliating spectacles in our nation’s history. A giant Chinese spy balloon traversing unmolested across our sovereign airspace without a worry in the world.”
“A Chinese spy balloon casually invading our air space for all to see, conducting day after day of espionage in broad daylight undisturbed, is a stark visual demonstration of Joe Biden’s crippling weakness and our excruciating national humiliation.”
Which brings me to this last point. China is committed to becoming the world’s single superpower, and to taking down America. This makes it vital that America be led by a President who can treat China as a threat and as our enemy. America needs the America First mindset in the White House – the “protect the American people and American homeland as the top priority” approach. Instead, Oval Office Occupier Biden is, in the opinion of former CIA operative Sam Faddis a “controlled asset of Chinese intelligence.” This conclusion was drawn in part from the now-released Twitter Files that reveal the Big Guy and his family have received millions from Chinese intelligence officers.
The new U.S. House Select Committee on China cannot start its work soon enough, and it most certainly has its work cut out for it. We’ll have two brilliant experts on China joining me on AmericaCanWeTalk over the next few weeks. Don’t miss out!
