31 Oct Rush Limbaugh’s Wisdom and the 2026 Mid-Terms
It’s hard to overstate the loss to America and to the cause of human freedom when Rush Limbaugh passed away five+ years ago. There was no one near his level of influence before him; there hasn’t been anyone since who is close to taking his place.
Limbaugh epitomized the ‘happy warrior’ character of American conservatism. Regardless of who occupied the White House, he reveled in skewering left-wing/liberal idiocy in all its forms, with a distinctive humor that probably even many critics privately chuckled at.
So it may be worth remembering one piece of profound wisdom he left us with. For years and even decades he was asked whether particular political developments—e.g., the elections of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama–indicated it was finally time to give up on the America of the founding.
For almost all of his career, he brushed off this question with a simple ‘no’ and with an assurance that he’d be open and honest with his audience if he ever concluded otherwise.
But as he approached the end of his broadcast career, he reached a final conclusion on the answer to the question.
The time to give up on the America of the founding and the cause of human freedom is: NEVER.
At this writing, there seem to be a lot of informed opinions assuring a conservative wipeout in the November 3 mid-term elections. Even the fall of Texas is predicted, with all ‘R’ statewide office candidates seemingly headed to defeat.
If this happens, the ecstatic whooping and hollering from the Deep State, the legacy media, the Beltway Uniparty and the global segment of the population afflicted with TDS, would be off the charts. Surely it would be enough to convince Limbaugh to change his final answer.
We think not.
Collective electoral opinion can go haywire from time to time, but facts don’t change.
Socialism and communism deliver moral confusion and misery, death and destruction. This truth won’t change.
Islam is antithetical to the cause of human freedom under the God of the Bible. It is incompatible with American civilization. No amount of AI-engineered rewriting of theology or history will change that.
Trans-insanity is not compassionate or progressive; it never will be. It is cruel.
And so…a mid-term shellacking of conservatism won’t usher in a happy new world. It will only make the global wake-up call more intense and widely understood.
As an aside, it is not at all clear that a shellacking is coming. Recent election results in British Columbia and Israel did not conform to the experts’ predictions—not by a longshot. If anything, they signaled that underneath the left-wing noise, there is a base of sane and mature voters who fully understand the stakes and are not buying the leftist propaganda. They are never polled, but they do vote, and in decisive numbers.
But back to Rush Limbaugh and NEVER giving up on the America of the founding and the cause of human freedom. Whatever the results on November 3, 2026, the America of the founding was and is a God-given gift to humanity. Men (and women) are fully capable of losing sight of that fact, and they can mess things up big-time. But can they actually take away what God has given? Temporarily, maybe so. But not permanently. Truth is always the ultimate victor.
