Democrat Attorney General Merrick Garland announced this week the appointment of DOJ Attorney Jack Smith to serve as a special counsel to investigate (read “take a scorched earth look at the words and actions that may be contorted into the appearance of a crime that may have been committed by”) all political opponents and enemies of the Biden Administration.
More precisely, Garland directed Jack Smith to investigate former and current (incoming) GOP members of House and Senate, along with anyone, individuals, groups, and organizations, associated with the Trump presidency, based on anything they said or did that may be remotely associated with the January 6th 2021 Capitol protest.
On top of that, Smith was also charged with the mission of targeting former President Trump using the special counsel process that cost Americans millions under Robert Mueller and uncovered NO collusion with Russia. This current DOJ fishing expedition appears to be designed to find anything the Biden Regime can use to justify prosecuting Trump, focused on classified documents and obstruction.
Which is odd, because even the Trump-hating, Democrat Party propaganda division, also known as the Washington Post, begrudgingly admitted this week that the entire FBI shock and awe raid on Mar-a-Lago for documents turned up zip, zero, nada, and nothing. NO wrongdoing by President Trump, no national security breaches. Nothing. Interesting how that news was released AFTER the midterms, but that’s another story.
You can read Garland’s fishing expedition, prosecution-seeking order HERE. Reminds one of the famous line “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” attributed to Lavrentiy Beria, head of Joseph Stalin’s secret police in the old Soviet Union. Further conjures up the threat captured by New York Judge Sol Wachtler who said in 1985, “If a district attorney wanted, a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich.”
HOW does the Biden team get away, in America, with announcing and pursuing this Stalinesque assault on America
The January 6 protest is the Democrats’ excuse for this Stalin-like purging, persecution, and potential prosecution of the Biden Regime’s opponents and enemies. Once they concocted the REAL Big Lie that the J6 protest was an insurrection, they can justify anything. This open-ended witch hunt seems a lot like election interference with a declared candidate, and appears to constitute abuse of the federal law enforcement apparatus to harass political opponents, but again, who will stop them?
Things are getting scary. This special counsel appointment is another piece of, the next step in, the slow-rolling-but-gaining-steam Marxist takedown of America, right before our very eyes. Our country and heritage of freedom and the rule of law and freedom of speech are being eviscerated as we prepare for our Thanksgiving celebrations and contemplate which recipes to bake for Christmas Eve dinner.
SO what can you do about this? Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted out a great suggestion – the GOP MUST use the power of the purse the constitution has given them, and refuse to fund this DOJ hit squad. Defund the DOJ’s witch-hunt! I am not confident the GOP will find the backbone to fight this latest outrage from the Left, but you can help by regularly pressuring your GOP representatives (and maybe the Democrats too..) to denounce this outrageous special counsel AND to simply refuse to fund it.
