BUT WHAT ARE THE FACTS?
Truth on Cops, Crime and Race
NEW study by the National Academy of Sciences of 917 officer-involved fatal shootings in 2015, involving 650+ police departments (reaching SIMILAR conclusions as other studies), found:
• Victims = 55% white, 27% black, & 19% Hispanic.
• White officers are no more likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot black civilians
• Victims: 90-95% were attacking police or citizens, 90% armed with a weapon
AND a DOJ Obama-era 2015 study of Philadelphia Police found black officers 67% more likely than white officers to mistakenly shoot an unarmed black suspect.
We can ALWAYS do better, and NO ONE is claiming the police are perfect BUT the BLM Narrative of an epidemic of unjustified racially-motivated shootings is false AND it has harmed America
