Having begun with Parts 1 and II of Tal Bachman’s essay, here and here, we’ll add Part III, here.
He’s getting pretty deep into philosophical weeds without a solution, but remains usefully thought-provoking. America’s ‘solution’ from the beginning was the acknowledgement of a Creator, a noble and good purpose to His creation, and the dignity and rights of the individual (the smallest minority on earth, per Ayn Rand) as the right societal-organizing principle for honoring that creation. …from which it follows that ‘government’ —which necessarily involves at least the potential for some to control others–must be limited in order preserve the founders’ acknowledgement.
That’s why “America Matters”.
