As our friends at American Thinker recently noted here, the legal winds are shifting against websites that advocate conservative values, seeking, among other things, to make the site operators responsible for what commenters write. The commenting function at ACWT has not been especially active, though many of the comments are clearly heartfelt. Our preference would be to allow the comment function to blossom into a forum or community for the exchange of views. But until America more firmly renews its commitment to the rule of law, we will disable the comment function until further notice.

Are America, and Trump, Being Played?

Thanks to American Thinker for posting March 21, 2020 Our concern about Donald Trump in the campaign of 2016 was not about his personal morals. The ultimate choice to vote for him was made easier by the manifest political criminality of Hillary Clinton. And his emergence as an America First,

Let’s Go with “CCP Virus”

Arguing that the correct identification of the geographic origin of the virus is racist is mostly entertaining silliness; it’s group identity politics gone so far off the rails that it’s hard to get angry about it. It’s really a choice between laughing or crying at the absurdity. But there is

Thanks to American Thinker for posting March 6, 2020 When airlines are cutting back on flights, when cruise lines are canceling cruises, when shipyard traffic drops significantly, when factories in China are ‘down’ for a month or more, all in response to or in anticipation of coronavirus ripple effects—there is

Award the Medal of Freedom to Philip Haney

Thanks to American Thinker for posting on February 27, 2020! Most Americans’ knowledge of Philip Haney, if they have any at all, comes from the obituary/eulogy type commentary that has followed the news stories of his death by gunshot last week. The generic MSM commentaries don’t do the man justice;
