As our friends at American Thinker recently noted here, the legal winds are shifting against websites that advocate conservative values, seeking, among other things, to make the site operators responsible for what commenters write. The commenting function at ACWT has not been especially active, though many of the comments are clearly heartfelt. Our preference would be to allow the comment function to blossom into a forum or community for the exchange of views. But until America more firmly renews its commitment to the rule of law, we will disable the comment function until further notice.

Hello My Very Fine Friends,     There are dozens of directions to go and observations to make about Joe Biden’s remarks on Thursday from Philadelphia’s Independence Hall. The outrageous indulgence in projection (accusing Trump and the MAGA millions of exactly what Biden is in fact doing); the melodramatic, creepy, bizarre red lighting and intimidating black ops darkness punctuated with actual

Hello My Very Fine friends,   If you watched soon-to-be-former Rep Liz Cheney’s concession speech, (or read it here) after she lost her Wyoming GOP primary by 30+ points, you know she compared herself to Abraham Lincoln in his quest to hold the union together.  She spoke in eloquent, even majestic self-laudatory terms, and about the

Mark Steyn – Criminalizing Opposition in a Pseudo-Republic

We’ll have more to say later about the raid on Mar-A-Lago, but since we featured Mark Steyn yesterday, and he’s already out with his take today–that’s a good place to start. Steyn is as cerebral, knowledgeable and articulate as anyone, and he knows world and American history.  That’s what is

Mark Steyn – Detroit and Democrats and Demise

Mark Steyn recently reposted his column from about nine years ago, in which he took a hard look at what had happened to Detroit after decades of Democrat leadership.  It caught our eye, not only because it showcases Steyn’s consistent brilliance and discernment, but because it serves as (another) wake

Hello My Very Fine friends,     Leaders, candidates, and officials all around America should learn the lesson from the Arizona GOP Primary. Voters are telling you they want you to FIX election fraud and stop sweeping it under the rug.  The Election Fraud Truth-Tellers WON, and the Election Fraud Deniers LOST.   Kari Lake’s victory in
